New Sensor for Medium- and High-Voltage Measurement

Measurements of medium and high voltages in a power grid are normally performed with large bulky voltage transformers or capacitive dividers. Besides installation problems, these devices operate relatively narrow frequency band, which limits their usability modern systems that saturated electronic devices. A sensor can be installed directly on wire without galvanic connection to the ground may used as an alternative measurement device. This type complement current sensors wire, forming complete acquisition system. paper presents such sensor.
